San Jacinto College is top-ranked Houston area school
PASADENA, Texas – The Houston Business Journal has named San Jacinto College as the top-rated Houston-area trade school and technical college. This prestigious acknowledgment underscores San Jacinto College’s commitment to providing exceptional education for East Harris County and the greater Houston region.
The ranking was based on information obtained from Niche.com, a trusted data provider known for its analysis of educational institutions across the United States. Niche.com utilizes a rigorous methodology, drawing upon public information and reviews to produce accurate and insightful rankings, report cards, and profiles for K-12 schools, colleges, and neighborhoods.

San Jacinto College offers a comprehensive range of programs designed to meet the evolving needs of area industries and equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for starting or advancing their careers. The College works diligently with industry experts to ensure programs and curricula meet the needs of the evolving workforce, and to prepare students for transfer to a four-year college or university.
San Jacinto College offers more than 200 certificate and degree programs, including a bachelor of science in nursing, a new bachelor of applied science in early childhood education and a bachelor’s degree in information technology with an emphasis in cybersecurity. The College provides pathways for students to pursue their passions and achieve their professional goals.
San Jacinto College understands the financial burden that many may face when considering continuing their education. For that reason, San Jac adopted a simplified tuition model, which means students don’t pay hidden fees – just one low rate for their whole tuition. The College’s tuition rate for students who live in the College District is $83 per credit hour – for a total of $2,490 for 30 credit hours.
