If you are a returning student and have not been out for more than a year, your SOS
login is the same as it was prior. If you have been out a year or more, you'll need
to re-apply to the college of admissions to access your SOS.
If you are a new student and cannot access SOS, contact the Admissions Office by email
admissions@sjcd.edu or phone 281-998-6150 for help.
Need Your Student ID ‘G’ Number?
If you do not know your Student ID 'G' Number and need assistance, please contact
the Contact Center at 281-998-6150 or Tech Support at 281-998-6137. Students and employees
on North, South, or Central campus can also receive password assistance by visiting
the Campus Service Desk. You can also contact any San Jac Admissions Advisor or Program Advisor.
Forgot Your Password?
To reset your password, your mobile phone number and personal email address must be current in SOS. This information is used to send you a one-time authentication code via SMS or email.
Students who need to update their password can do so by completing the following steps:
Using a web browser, visit the Password Self-Service System at sanjac.edu/password.
In the Username field, type your SJC Student Username, then click Go.
Your username is your last name, dot, first initial, the last six numbers of your G#, followed by @stu.sanjac.edu.
Example: (LastName).(FirstInitial)(LastSixG#)@stu.sanjac.edu If your name is John Doe and your G# is G00430697, your username will be: Doe.J430697@stu.sanjac.edu
On the password screen, click the Forgot Password?link.
A new window or browser tab will open. You will be prompted to enter the SMS authentication
code you received via text message on your cell phone. Click Go.
For an alternate email address option, after selecting Forgot Password?,click the Try another method link.
A new window or browser tab will open. You will be prompted to enter the email authentication
code you received via email. Click Go.
A new window or browser tab will open. You will be prompted to update your password.
Create a new password. The new password must be at least 12 characters long, and three
of the four following requirements mustbe met: one number, one special character, one lower-case letter, and/or one uppercase
letter. Once you finalize your new password, click Go.
NOTE: You cannot use your first name or last name as part of the password. You also may not use any
of your prior 5 passwords.
You have successfully reset your password. You can now close this window.
Here is how to update your SOS account with your current cell phone number and email
address.
When logged into SOS, select the All Users tab at the top of the screen.
Below All Users, select the Personal Information option.
Below Personal Information, select the Add New option under either the Email or Phone Number section of the Personal Details page.
If updating the Email Address, select the Home E-Mail Address as the type and enter the new email address under Email Address. The comments can be left blank unless desired, and then select Add.
If updating the Phone Number,select Cellular Telephone under Phone Type, then add your phone number under the Phone Number section. Make sure to check the Primary option, then select Add.
Note: Please be aware that the newest email address and cellular phone number will be
the devices and addresses that will receive the one-time codes. Additionally, when
updating the information, you may receive the following error message – this is a
known error and will not affect updating the phone number or email address: No updateable
addresses
If you have forgotten your username for the Password Self Service System, you can use the following as your username:
Your student email address. Your student email address will be your last name dot
first initial and the last six numbers of your student G# followed by @stu.sanjac.edu:
(LastName).(FirstInitial)(LastSixG#)@stu.sanjac.edu.
Example: If your name is John Doe and your student G# is G00430697, your email address will
be: Doe.J430697@stu.sanjac.edu.

At this time, students can use any special character in their password, except for
an apostrophe (‘). Special characters a student can use include:

“At” Symbol (@)

Ampersand (&)
Hyphen (-)
