Virtual Desktop

Virtual Desktop

Virtual desktops work the same as regular PC computers. They are installed and hosted in the cloud instead of a physical computer. We can provide you with access to a virtual desktop if you need to use specific software that can’t be installed on your computer. There are three types of virtual desktops.

General Virtual Desktop

General is preinstalled with Microsoft Office 365 Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint. This is a great option for Dual Credit students using a Chromebook and need access to full features of the software. All enrolled students have been provisioned access to this virtual desktop.

Drafting Virtual Desktop

Drafting is preinstalled with software for students taking engineering and other design courses. Software installed includes Autodesk AutoCAD 2019, Autodesk Revit 2019, Autodesk Civil 3D 2019, SolidWorks 2019, CadWorx 2019, and Aveva PDMS 12. You must be enrolled in a pre-approved course to access this virtual desktop.

Adobe Creative Suite Virtual Desktop

Adobe Creative Suite is preinstalled with Adobe Creative products you need for your assigned classwork. This is also a great option for Dual Credit students using a Chromebook and need access to full features of the software. You must be enrolled in a pre-approved course to access this virtual desktop.
