Admission Requirements

To meet the minimum requirements for admission, at the time of application you must:

  • Be a high school graduate or have your GED
  • Demonstrate college readiness in reading and math
  • Have at lease one recommendation form

4 Steps to Accepted

  1. Apply to San Jac

If you’re not a current San Jac student, you need to first apply to the College. You can apply online through the ApplyTexas website or visit our admissions page for more information.

  2. Apply to Biomanufacturing Technology Program

Complete the Biomanufacturing Technology program application. Please make sure you have all the necessary documents ready, including one academic or professional reference's contact information, when you start the application. Once you begin, you will have 45 minutes to complete the application before it times out. It will not save your work.

  3. Take the San Jacinto College Placement Exam

All new incoming students are required to take the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) exam unless exempt. This exam is designed to determine if you are ready to take a college-level course, or if you would benefit from a preparatory course.

Learn more about how to take your TSI or if you are exempt.

  4. Interview

We will invite the top 40 candidates for each campus to interview for a place in the Biomanufacturing Technology Program. You will be asked basic interview questions in a panel format to determine your understanding of the Biomanufacturing Technology program goals and career paths. You can find out more about this process during one of the information sessions.
