We’re here to support your journey to becoming an automotive professional and advancing your career. At San Jac, we offer proctored testing to help you earn certifications from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
ASE testing is only available at San Jac Central. The duration of the ASE exam varies depending on the specific certification. While
you cannot pause the exam, you are allowed to take unscheduled breaks. You must complete
the exam within the allotted time limit.

Before Scheduling your Test
When you’re ready to test, ensure you have a current government-issued ID that includes
your photograph and signature (e.g., driver’s license, passport).
If you need to retest, please review the ASE retesting policy to determine if you
qualify.Registering for ASE
Upon passing your ASE exam, you will receive your certificate from ASE.
Our Testing Centers have a responsibility to faculty, students, and our communities to address any infractions that may occur. We administer ASE exams under the policies, rules, and guidelines set forth by ASE and Prometric. When candidates arrive for the test, the Testing Center staff will review these policies, rules, and guidelines with them. Additional information about the test will also be provided to the candidates through ASE.
