Texas adopted the Financial Aid for Swift Transfer (FAST) program for dual credit students. With the FAST program, eligible students do not have to pay for eligible dual credit courses at participating colleges. San Jacinto College is participating in the FAST program. Books, supplies, and other course materials are paid by the high school.
There is not a form that students must complete at San Jacinto College in order to have FAST applied to their account.
Students may be eligible for FAST funding if they meet all of the following requirements:
FAST eligibility is determined on a term-by-term basis after the term has ended. If it is determined that you are ineligible for FAST, you may have a balance remaining on your account that you are responsible for.
However, you may still qualify for state or institutional grant assistance. To be considered for grant assistance, please complete the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by June 15, 2025. Be sure to answer the High School completion status question as “None of the previous.”
