About Me
I have a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies from Sam Houston State University. I previously taught elementary school (1st and 2nd grade) and worked as an Academic Coach at a nearby college. When I am not advising students, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, watching a good movie, or shopping. I also have a very high energy miniature schnauzer, Bodie, who keeps me busy!

My Student Advice
One thing that really helped me in college was to carefully read and review my course
syllabi throughout the semester. Don’t underestimate the syllabus! It contains assignment
due dates, attendance policies, instructor contact information, and so much other
helpful information. Keep your syllabus handy so that you can mark, underline, and
make note of anything your professor emphasizes as important! If you have any questions
or concerns, reach out to your professor early on.
